One of the earliest Tibetan art collections in the US, this museum was begin in 1938. Now over 1,000 objects, instruments, sculptures and paintings are on display in this New York art museum.
This museum is not only about displays and exhibits, but in its continued effort to educate the public about the Himalayan region it hold regular events and classes. Be sure to visit the annual Tibetan Festival or the weekly tai chi classes for a deeper understanding of this exotic region. Admission is $6 per adult and the museum is open Friday through Sunday.
